Foundation crack repair

Foundation crack repair
in Toronto & the GTA.

Polyurethane and epoxy injection for suitable cracks in poured-concrete foundation walls. We assess the crack, explain the method and repair the treated area from inside where conditions allow.

01 / Inside the repair

See what happens
inside the wall.

Crack injection directs repair material into an opening within the concrete. This short animation shows the sequence from preparation and ports to a sealed water-entry path.

For suitable foundation cracks, the work can be carried out from inside the basement. The material and preparation depend on the condition of the wall.

Water can enter through a crack in the concrete wall. First, the crack and repair access are assessed and prepared. Injection ports provide a route into the crack, and a surface seal helps contain the material. The illustration follows the injection upward through successive ports as material fills the crack. The completed treatment seals the repaired water-entry path. The method used on your wall follows its assessment.

02 / Injection methods

Two materials.
Different repair goals.

We provide polyurethane and epoxy crack injection. We explain which approach fits your wall, the condition of the crack and what the repair needs to achieve.

01

Polyurethane injection

Seal a leaking crack.

For suitable water-bearing cracks, a polyurethane injection system fills the water-entry path. Certain formulations expand during reaction; flexibility after curing depends on the selected product.

Repair goal

Control water entry through the treated crack.

Selection factors

Moisture, water flow, crack condition and expected movement.

What to understand

Leak sealing alone does not stabilize a moving foundation.

02

Epoxy injection

Bond suitable cracked concrete.

An appropriate epoxy resin can bond the sides of a stable concrete crack. This repair has a different objective from a flexible leak-sealing treatment and needs the right conditions.

Repair goal

Bond concrete across a suitable crack.

Selection factors

Crack stability, access, moisture tolerance and repair specification.

What to understand

Dry or damp suitability is product-specific; active movement needs investigation.

The selection starts with the wall and the cause of the crack. A surface patch alone may leave the water path inside the concrete untreated.

03 / How cracks develop

A crack has
a history.

Its location and pattern offer clues. We also look at the water, the surrounding wall and any changes over time.

01

Shrinkage & temperature changes

Concrete changes volume as it dries and as temperatures vary. Restraint can turn that movement into cracking, including near window corners.

02

Uneven ground movement

When the support beneath a foundation changes unevenly, different areas can move by different amounts and stress the wall.

03

Pressure outside the wall

Soil and accumulated water can load a basement wall from the outside. Drainage conditions matter when investigating leaks and wall movement.

04

Construction & weak points

Concrete placement, curing, joints and openings influence where a crack may form. A visible pour line is not necessarily a crack.

04 / Common crack patterns

What are you
seeing?

These illustrations help you describe a crack. Appearance alone cannot confirm its cause or the right repair.

Hairline cracks

A fine opening can still admit water. Its width alone does not tell us whether it is superficial, through the wall or still changing.

Vertical cracks

These may be associated with shrinkage or settlement. We check for leakage, displacement and change before choosing a repair.

Diagonal cracks

An angled crack near an opening may relate to shrinkage or movement. The location and condition of the whole wall help explain it.

Horizontal cracks

A sideways crack, especially with bowing or displacement, can indicate lateral loading. It needs further assessment before an injection repair is proposed.

Stair-step cracks

Usually seen along mortar joints in masonry. Block or brick foundations need an assessment suited to their construction; poured-wall injection may not apply.

Floor & slab cracks

A floor crack has different conditions from a foundation-wall crack. We check the source of any water and whether the slab has shifted.

Suitability first

Start with the whole picture.

Tell us where the crack is, when you noticed it, whether it changes, and when water appears. Photos and the job postal code help us understand the enquiry; an on-site assessment may still be needed.

An interior approach can avoid exterior excavation where the crack and site conditions are suitable. It is not the right solution for every wall or every basement leak.

Water appearing in several places? Explore waterproofing

What we consider

The crack. The cause.
The access.

01

Wall and crack condition

Wall construction, crack location, visible movement and previous repairs affect suitability. The proposed method should follow the assessment, not a guess from the surface.

02

Water pattern

Tell us whether moisture appears after rain, stays constant or comes from more than one location. The visible crack may not be the only water-entry path.

03

Finished-basement access

Let us know about drywall, insulation, shelving or stored belongings. Access and any reinstatement work should be agreed in the quotation.

04

Limits of a crack repair

An isolated repair is not a promise to correct settlement, a bowed wall, drainage problems or every future leak. Conditions beyond the crack may need further investigation.

Protection that matters

Lifetime warranty on eligible crack repairs

For as long as the original customer owns the property. Non-transferable unless separately agreed in writing.

If a covered crack repair fails and water returns through that repaired crack, we will correct the covered repair at no charge. Eligible work is identified in your written agreement. This is not a whole-basement or structural guarantee.

Read the full warranty terms

1. Eligible work

Aftermath Crack Fix provides this warranty for the specific foundation crack repairs identified as lifetime-covered in the written quotation or warranty certificate. That document identifies the legal business providing the warranty, customer, property, completion date, treated crack locations, repair scope and applicable method. Eligibility and these terms are disclosed before you agree to the work; eligibility cannot be removed afterwards merely by leaving it off the invoice.

2. What lifetime means

Coverage starts when the eligible repair is completed and continues for as long as the original customer owns the property. It is not transferable to a new owner unless a separate written warranty expressly grants that benefit. There is no annual renewal or separate registration requirement. Warranty service does not shorten the remaining coverage.

3. What is covered

The warranty covers defects in the materials or workmanship of the eligible repair, including water entering through the same treated crack because that repair has failed. It applies to the treated area, not every crack, wall, floor or potential source of water in the building. Ordinary rain or groundwater pressure within the conditions the repair was agreed to address is not, by itself, an exclusion.

4. What we will do

We will assess a reported problem and explain the coverage decision. For a covered failure, we will correct or redo the eligible repair without charging for the covered inspection, labour or repair materials. We will arrange reasonable access and timing with you. Any proposed charge for unrelated or uncovered work must be explained and agreed to before that work starts. There is no automatic call-out charge just for reporting a possible warranty issue.

If the covered repair cannot reasonably be corrected, we will discuss an appropriate remedy without limiting your statutory rights. Re-repair is not your exclusive remedy.

5. Scope limits and exclusions

This warranty does not extend the purchased scope to new or untreated cracks, water entering elsewhere, plumbing leaks, sewer backups, condensation, or drainage and equipment failures unrelated to the eligible repair. Structural stabilization and other waterproofing systems are covered only by the separate written terms expressly agreed for that work. Pumps and other equipment are not automatically lifetime-covered.

Damage caused by later structural movement beyond the repair’s agreed design scope, third-party alteration, impact or misuse is excluded only to the extent it actually causes the claimed failure. An unrelated alteration does not void the entire warranty. A known site condition accepted within the repair scope cannot later be treated as a blanket reason to reject coverage.

6. Access and maintenance

Please provide safe, reasonable access and follow relevant maintenance instructions supplied in writing with the original agreement. A maintenance omission affects coverage only where it causes the claimed failure. If finishes installed after the repair conceal the work, opening and reinstatement responsibilities and any proposed costs must be agreed in writing before work starts, subject to applicable consumer rights. This does not authorize automatic charges for covered repairs.

7. Making a claim

Contact (647) 448-9123 or contact@aftermathcrackfix.com with the property address, a description of the problem and the invoice or approximate repair date. Photos are helpful but not mandatory. We can use our own records to identify the work if the invoice is unavailable.

Report the concern promptly and take reasonable, safe steps to limit additional damage. Emergency action needed for safety or to prevent further damage does not automatically void the warranty. No arbitrary short claim deadline or fixed emergency response time is promised.

8. Other rights and existing damage

This warranty concerns correcting the eligible repair; it is not a property insurance policy or a promise to remedy unrelated pre-existing damage. It does not exclude responsibility for negligent work or remove rights and remedies under applicable consumer-protection law. No mandatory arbitration, blanket liability waiver, automatic invoice-value damages cap or unilateral reduction of existing coverage is included. These terms do not reduce warranties already promised to existing customers.

Questions or a claim? (647) 448-9123 or contact@aftermathcrackfix.com.

Before you book.

01Will you have to dig outside?

Suitable cracks can be repaired from inside. We confirm the method after assessing the conditions; not every repair can avoid outside work.

02What if a previous repair has failed?

Tell us what was done, when it was completed and when the leak returned. Previous materials and access can affect the next repair.

03Can you give a price from a photo?

Photos help start the conversation, but may not establish the full cause or access requirements. The quotation follows the information and assessment needed for the job.

04Does the lifetime warranty apply?

Yes. Eligible crack repairs identified in your written agreement are covered for as long as the original customer owns the property. Covered failures are corrected without charge for the covered inspection, labour or materials. Coverage is non-transferable unless separately agreed in writing; it is not a whole-basement or structural guarantee. Read the full terms on our foundation crack repair page.
